Very nice to wander around, good variable mesuem/gallery space.
A truly surprising historic venue tucked away in Salford. We attended an outdoor theatre event here and it was well organised and very enjoyable. The manchester weather smiled on us for once and the umbrellas were not required. I'd love to come back and see the museum.
This museum was FAB thanks to the tour guides! They gave us loads of information while showing us round the whole house, but also left us to it while we watched several of the movies and watched one of the school presentations. My mom and i even got to dress up a bit, it was really fun. The grounds are beautiful too. I will definitely be happy to bring other visitors here.
This is a lovely old stately home that looks like it has been lifted directly from the countryside and transplanted into a street full of warehousing and apartment blocks. It makes no sense it being in this environment but is a welcome sight all the same.I have been here on several occasions and have always been greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the staff who clearly take pride in working at preserving this monument to Salford history. Go and enjoy escaping from the humdrum of life. It is also free to enter and tour the venue. At Christmas they have regular events on at the hall that are worthy of you and your families time.
Wonderful staff who are so well informed on the house and grounds. So much fun for the kids (aged 4-11) and lots of dress up. I just thought they would be there for an hour and get bored but they could stay there for 2-3 hours!Definitely going back
