Steeped in local history, Peel Park is the iconic public park of Salford, much represented in numerous paintings by L S Lowry. Through his art, it is still possible to experience a time warp back to his time and imagine the scenes he portrayed while enjoying modern facilities in this very well tended setting.

The restoration of this very old park has been beautifully done, well worth the visit. We are extremely lucky to have this in Salford

Cute place to go whether your an adult or child. Super clean and open park and the equipment is amazing.

NOTE I USED GOOGLE MAPS FOR DIRECTIONS USING THE POSTCODE GIVEN ON HERE AND ON WEB SITE AND WAS TAKEN TO THE MIDDLE OF A LARGE VERY BUSY ROUNDABOUT!In itself a nice park. Plenty of bins, benches and picnic benches. The park is well maintained and even at this time of year there were flowers in bloom. I saw stacks of flowers waiting to be planted so should be lovely in the summer. The park is next to a couple of rugby pitches so lots of room for dogs to run about. The river Irwell runs alongside the park and there were a few ducks and swans on there. Loss of stars as no car park and no toilets. There are toilets inside the museum and there is a small car park there too, which has charges. I parked on a small piece of private land which also charged. You cam pay online or over the phone so need a debit card.

A lovely park. Hidden away a bit. I only found it as my son's moved into the area. There are lovely flower beds, mature trees, near Salford museum and Art Gallery. The only down side is the children's play area. It's nice but there's not enough for younger children to do.
