We do not have an outside market now and the indoor market is poor. Salford always had a fantastic well loved market for years - now it's a car park. So I travel to Bury market for the items like nets and other curtains, fruit and greengrocery, in fact most items needed in every home. You get.a much better selection and variation in Bury. We don't all want to shop at supermarkets for everything.
Great place to shop. Always busy tho. Good selection of shops and grocery stores. Few charity shops. Good place to get a variety of shopping done. Subway there is great with excellent staff. Post office is always packed.
There's a few shops on here that are ideal. Lot of shops have closed or moved to a smaller place. It's good too nip on and get a few bits.Update: Lots of new shops opened and a lot of shops refurbished and extended to larger shops. Hardly any empty shops on the inside of the precinct now that i noticed. Lovely and clean on the inside. Lots of security as well.
Beware parking racket! I've been supporting this place for years as it is local and convenient even if a little run down. Having been stung for a nasty parking fine, I will not be shopping here again. There are more pleasant and better range of shops a short drive away.
Quite an excellent array of shops on offer here. Something for everyone. Truly my type of shopping area. I shall definitely be going here again. From small shops and charity shops to the larger brand stores. Plus right next door to a huge Tesco.
