Terrible experience with this letting agency. Took them six months after the end of my tenancy to return my deposit, which happened only once the deposit protection scheme was used. Avoid at all costs.
0 STARS. Living in a Mistoria house was the absolute worst year of my life, please for the sake of your mental and physical wellbeing do NOT go with this agency. I spent most nights in my Mistoria house awake with anxiety having panic attacks about the whole experience, it was beyond awful. Mistoria destroyed my mental health and ruined my university experience, I'd rather have lived on the streets. It started from the moment we moved in, we unlocked the door to our student home so excited, opened the door and it was a filthy mess, bin bags everywhere, broken mirrors and smashed glass on bedroom floors, a mouse infestation, the list goes on. From then on it went even more downhill, there was mould in almost every room - so bad that I had to get a different prescription of inhaler, I informed Mistoria of this and they did not care and didn't do anything, they genuinely did not care that they were ruining somebody's health. We went for the first couple of months without an oven that worked, so were limited to what we could eat and that brought misery on as you can imagine, but again, Mistoria showed no empathy, just neglect. It took them months to replace the washing machine that was leaking and making the house smell of awful damp. The staff at the Salford branch are the worst customer service workers I've ever come across in my life, they neglected us, ignored us, and were just absolutely awful to us. They did things as and when they wanted with no communication, they'd just show up on our doorstep with viewers with NO warnings, and then have the audacity to complain that the house wasn't sparkling clean. We had an issue pretty much every week in terms of maintenance, which we reported each time, when the maintenance man did show up, which was very rare, he was rude, spoke to us like filth and acted very unprofessional often leaving trash behind, and blaming us for problems he caused, which just added to the upset and frustration. Mistoria thinks that half doing jobs on the cheap is fixing them, when all it did was cause MORE problems less than a week later. Mistoria claimed it would sort out council tax but couldn't even do that, my housemate got a surprise bill for almost 2000, he had to then sort it out with the council himself as the workers were too lazy to do anything even though it was their responsibility. It was just constantly one thing after another, and I believe this impacted my grades massively as I was in such a horrific mental state. I have friends who also lived in a Mistoria house, at the same time as us and they too had a horrific experience, I watched their mental health deteriorate as the academic year went on and it was all down to Mistoria and the misery and stress it brought upon all of its tenants. I don't know how the people that work there sleep at night knowing full well the damage they've done to all of these young students.Please, please, please do NOT go with Mistoria, this scum will treat you like nothing more than dirt on their shoe and rinse you of your money.

Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend Mistoria to anyone. As a second year student last year, I took these negative reviews as written by naive, entitled students who didnt know any better. However my own disastrous experiences have proved them right. Me and my 4 housemates moved into a house that looked like it hadnt had a decent clean in years. We had 3 resident mice throughout our stay and despite multiple phone calls, emails and online ticket requests, the pest infestation was never addressed by Mistoria. Requests to change a bathroom light on the top floor (which we were told we could not change by ourselves) were ignored for 9 month, Mistoria never did anything. There were also at least 2 incidences in which a staff member entered the house without the legal 24 hour notice period. We were a house full of woman who didnt appreciate being woken up by a maintenance man letting himself into our bedrooms. The maintenance man that we did speak to briefly, made a point of asking for a lad to speak to because seemingly he found it hard to communicate with a house of women. Once we moved out, requiring our deposits back proved difficult as they tried (and failed) to charge us for not having a sparkle clean on move out, when we left the house in a better state than it was when we moved in. Seriously listen to the reviews online and find somewhere who will treat you more like a paying adult, and less like scum.
Ive experienced nothing but an exceptional brilliant service from the Mistoria team. My property is well maintained and any complaints I have had have been dealt with promptly. The staff are lovely and friendly and the customer service is fantastic. I have spoken to an employee called Sarah previously and she was brilliant, very friendly whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. I can not recommend Mistoria enough!!
